Due to the tragic and untimely death of Greg Long and as a mark of respect to the Long family and his good friend and cast member, Willie Barrett, Coachford Players have cancelled the Monday and Tuesday performances of their play 'Many Young Men of Twenty'.
It is 1950. Or maybe 1940. Or, again, maybe 2010.
Tom and Seelie Hannigan run their pub cum community talking shop in the fictional Kerry village of Keelty. Seelie is the brains, Tom is the public face. And Peg Finnerty, who is person of all work, is THE VOICE.
And every week, in and out, the train puffs its way through Keelty. On its way to Cobh. To the ship.
And every week, in and out, come the cardboard suitcases. Carrying the scanty possessions. And the poverty and fear. And the hopes for a new life elsewhere.
And every week, in and out, from break of dawn until the sun is high,
